    Hurry in for our Build a Better World summer reading program!  We start on Tuesday, June 13th with stories focusing on ways to improve our world.
  • Coffee Wednesdays 10-Noon
    Join us around the fireplace for a cup of coffee or iced tea.
  • Tween Time Wednesdays 1:00-3:00 p.m.
    Jump into some crafts, activities, and discussions for ages 8-12.  Activities include making blankets and fairy gardens for the nursing home, origami activities and more!
  • Sit N Stitch Thursdays 6:00-8:00 p.m.
    Come knit, crochet and quilt with us!
  • Men’s Friday Coffee 10:00 – Noon
    Gentlemen, drop in for some coffee and conversation. Enjoy spending time and having a few laughs or interesting discussions with other men from around the area.

  • June 22: Science Center of Iowa presents Building Blunders. Join us as we learn about some famous building blunders that topple, tilt, or twirl while experiencing the marvels of engineering.

  • Adult Coloring Thursday June 8th 6:00 p.m.
    Join us for a RELAXING evening. Coloring pages from books designed especially for adults as well as colored pencils will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own! 18 and older, or 16-17 when accompanied by an adult.

  • Lessons from the Holocaust Thursday June 29th 6:30 p.m.
    Brad Wilkening will share lessons of the Holocaust and relate them to our current world. “The violence, intolerance, bigotry, and hatred must come to an end or our very way of life will be threatened. Bullying and indifference start at an early age, and we have a responsibility to help create a safer more caring environment. We need to be upstanders not bystanders in the face of evil.” Special guests Michael and David Wolnerman. David Wolnerman the last camp survivor in the Des Moines area will be telling his survival story as well!
