  • Library: Coffee Wednesdays
    10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Join us around the fireplace for a cup of coffee or iced tea.
  • Jester Park:Nature’s Story Hour – Giants of the Prairie
    12:00 pm. Bring your picnic lunch, blanket and family for an hour of nature stories and activities with a PCC Naturalist. This family friendly program is free and all ages are welcome. More info >
  • Library: Tween Time
    1:00 pm. Jump into some crafts, activities, and discussions for ages 10 and up.  Activities include making blankets and fairy gardens for the nursing home, origami activities and more!!!!!
    6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Located inside Polk City United Methodist Church. Clinic staffed by volunteer healthcare providers. No insurance filed, $5 donation appreciated. Come in for sports physicals, school physicals, immunizations, or ill visits.
  • Library: Wednesday Book Club
    7:00 pm. The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. Two sisters struggling to survive during World war II in France…

Thursday, July 6

  • Library: Jester Puppets
    10:30 am. Jester Puppets is proud to announce its Summer Reading Program for 2017: “Iowa Jones and the Search for the Last Mummy!” The theme of 2017 is “Build a Better World,” and the adventures of Iowa Jones helps him to do just that. Iowa Jones learns that others are different than he is, but by working together, they can accomplish a lot! Like finding the last Mummy so that he won’t be alone anymore…
  • Library: Open Cribbage
    1:00 pm. Join us the First Thursday of the Month. All levels of players are welcome. Bring a friend and let’s have some fun! *Bring your own cribbage board or use ours.
  • Polk City Farmer’s Market
    4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Town Square. Thursdays May 25th – August 31st.
  • Library: Sit N Stitch
    6:00 pm. Bring your needlework and join us for the evening! All levels of stitchers welcome.
  • Kiwanis of Polk City
    6:30 pm. Meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Polk City Community Room (next to Fire Station).  Get to know your community and people in it while serving the children in our community through various programs.  Learn more on our web site:  www.kiwanisclubpc.blogspot.com, email soxjk@q.com or attend our Thursday meeting.
