  • City Hall: Council Meetings
    City Council 2nd & 4th Mondays at 6:30 pm. Parks Commission 1st Monday at 6:00 pm. Planning and Zoning 3rd Monday at 6:00 pm. All meetings are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 112 3rd St. All meetings are open to the public and anyone interested in them is encouraged to attend. Click here for agendas & minutes >
  • City Hall: Development Hearing
    6:30 pm. On August 14, 2017 at 6:30PM there will be a public hearing, in City Hall, held by the City Council to consider a proposed agreement for private development between the City of Polk City and Deer Haven Land Company, LLC. If you would like to obtain a copy of the proposed agreement, please contact the City Clerk’s office in City Hall. This meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, Polk City, Iowa just as a typical City Council meeting would be.

  • Library: Coffee Wednesdays
    10:00 am 1:00 pm TWEEN Time Wednesday’s – 12:00 pm. Join us around the fireplace for a cup of coffee or iced tea.
  • Free Medical Clinic
    6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Located inside Polk City United Methodist Church. Clinic staffed by volunteer healthcare providers. No insurance filed, $5 donation appreciated. Come in for sports physicals, school physicals, immunizations, or ill visits.

Thursday, August 17

  • Polk City Farmer’s Market
    4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Town Square. Thursdays May 25th – August 31st.
  • Library: Sit N Stitch
    6:00 pm. Bring your needlework and join us for the evening! All levels of stitchers welcome.
  • Kiwanis of Polk City
    6:30 pm. Meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Miller Park Shelter House.  Get to know your community and people in it while serving the children in our community through various programs.  Learn more on our web site:  www.kiwanisclubpc.blogspot.com, email soxjk@q.com or attend our Thursday meeting.
