Update on Polk City Square

We’re Moving! As some of you may have seen on Facebook, I have news.  My husband has accepted a too good to refuse job offer that requires us to move to Minneapolis.  This has caused quite an upheaval in our lives in recent weeks so I do apologize for my lack of time to put together full newsletters for you all.   I started Polk City Square about 9 years ago and have been running it on my own as an act of community service ever since. I am working on a plan to keep PolkCitySquare.com running for years to come, but not by me as I think you are all best served by this staying local!

Perhaps you can help me? We need to sell our house!  We built this ruby beauty 11 years ago thinking it would be our forever home and we have loved every day we’ve been allowed to enjoy it.  It is in a quiet neighborhood with just enough kids to make it fun and really nice neighbors.  Walking distance to West Elementary and the Polk City Library. The property includes a mini-forest of mature trees that have provided endless hours of fun for our kids with games, forts and climbing trees!  The backyard has a really large deck, a concrete retaining wall that will outlast us all and both a chain-link fence and Invisible Fence (turns out our dog could jump 5-foot fences)!

4 bedrooms, all on 2nd floor (plus room for 1-2 more in the unfinished walkout basement).  Large master is a suite with separate jetted tub and shower.  Kitchen is perfect with a butcher block island and a huge walk-in pantry next to it!  Kitchen is open to dining and then to living room which has a wood burning fireplace. There is built in storage on every level of this house!  Energy-saving Pella windows and Icynene insulation throughout! We love it and hope you do too!

Could you post this link on your Facebook pages and share with anyone you know who is looking to move to Polk City? The house is all shiny and looks as good as new!  It is ready for touring and we can close quickly! http://1720wahkonsaave.ihousenet.com/.

It would be great if someone could post it on the Ankeny (or other) Swap & Shop page. And, if you just want a fun looksee, you should click through the pictures to #18 to see the absolutely amazing castle bunk bed my hubby made for our kids!  Its AWESOME!

It has been my privilege and pleasure to be a part of this community. Thanks to each of you!

– Kimberly
