MONDAY FEBRUARY 26, 2018

City Hall: 

  • Council Meetings: City Council 2nd & 4th Mondays at 6:00 pm.
  • Parks Commission: 1st Monday at 6:00 pm.
  • Planning and Zoning: 3rd Monday at 6:00 pm.

Library:

  • Story Time: 10:30 am Ages 2-5 NEW! For the month of March, Miss Brittany will be trying a duplicate weekly Story Time on Mondays! Join us for stories, songs, and a craft on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 am. The themes for this month include Mail, Fish, Parts of the Body, and Pizza! Parents and caregivers are also invited to stay after the craft to socialize and play with our toys!

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 27, 2018

Library: 

  • Story Time: 10:30 am Ages 2-5 NEW! For the month of March, Miss Brittany will be trying a duplicate weekly Story Time on Mondays! Join us for stories, songs, and a craft on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 am. The themes for this month include Mail, Fish, Parts of the Body, and Pizza! Parents and caregivers are also invited to stay after the craft to socialize and play with our toys!

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2018

Library: 

  • Coffee Wednesdays: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Join us around the fireplace for a cup of coffee or iced tea.

Polk City United Methodist Church:

  • Free Medical Clinic  6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Clinic staffed by volunteer healthcare providers. No insurance filed, $5 donation appreciated. Come in for sports physicals, school physicals, immunizations, or ill visits.

THURSDAY MARCH 1, 2018

Library:

  • Baby Lapsit: Ages 0-2  10:30 am
  • Sit N Stitch: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Bring your current project, and join the stitching around the fireplace.
  • Open Cribbage 1:00 pm Join us the First Thursday of the Month. Bring a friend and let’s have some fun! *Bring your own cribbage board or use ours. All Levels Welcome
  • Four Seasons Photo Club 7:00 p.m. The Four Seasons Photo Club meets on the first Thursday of the month September through May. Come learn about photography techniques, and discuss with other photographers on ways to improve your photography. Watch for our guest speakers who have great insight into photography. New Members Always Welcome.

House Burn Notice: Polk City Fire Department: The Polk City Fire Department has scheduled a controlled house burn, near the intersection of 3rd Street and Bridge Road, on the morning of Saturday, March 10th. This will be weather and wind dependent and is not anticipated to cause any road closures.
