  • Open Euchre: 1:00-4:00 pm Join us the second Tuesday of the month and play the classic game Euchre.  Open to all Euchre enthusiasts.
  • Adult Coloring Mosaic: 6:00-8:00 pm Join us for a RELAXING evening. Coloring pages from books designed especially for adults as well as colored pencils will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own! 17 and over.

  • The Kindness Rocks Project: 6:00 – 8:00 pm Polk City edition! Learn about this inspirational movement and how to be a part of it! We will paint rocks with guidance from Polk City artist, Hanna Piepel. Have fun creating something beautiful that inspires others to pass it on. Supplies provided. Pre-Registration Required

City of Polk City:

  • Council Meetings: City Council 2nd & 4th Mondays at 6:00 pm.
  • Parks Commission: 1st Monday at 6:00 pm.
  • Planning and Zoning: 3rd Monday at 6:00 pm.

Mosquito Spraying Notice: The Polk City Public Works Department will begin spraying for mosquitoes twice a week, weather permitting, until the mosquito season comes to an end. In order for a successful application to be applied, the wind speed must be less than 10 mph and there can be no threat of rain two hours after the application. ON-GOING COMMUNITY EVENTS & INFORMATION:

Polk City United Methodist Church Free Medical Clinic  6:00 pm – 8:00 pm first and third Wednesday each month Clinic staffed by volunteer healthcare providers. No insurance filed, $5 donation appreciated. Come in for sports physicals, school physicals, immunizations, or ill visits. PLEASE NOTE NO CLINIC June 6, 2018, and July 4, 2018

Polk City United Methodist Church Free outdoor mini-food pantry (NP Cupboard) has food available 24 hours a day. Please take what yo need.

Kiwanis Meetings: First and third Thursday nights at Miller park at 6:30 pm, Satellite meeting at the Reising Sun Cafe First Thursday of the month at 8:00 am.

Polk City Women Meetings: 7 pm, 1st Tuesday of every Month at the Miller Park Shelter House. All Women of Polk City our Welcome. Facebook page and website www.polkcitywomen.org for more information!

Operative Lodge #308 (Masons): Meets every 2nd Monday of the month for dinner at 6:30 PM at the Lodge building next to City Hall. Dinner is open to anyone interested in joining. Email us at Operative308@gmail.com for more information.

Polk City Historical Society: The Big Creek Historical Society announced the opening dates of the museum for 2018.

  • Sunday September 9, 2 – 4
  • Sunday October 14, 2 – 4
In addition the museum will open monthly during the Polk CITY Farmer’s Market. Those dates are:
  • June 14, 5 – 7
  • July 12, 5 – 7
  • August 9, 5 – 7
