*Middle School Special Ed Para Educator*

The North Polk Middle School is seeking to hire *two* paraprofessional.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

•supporting a safe, positive teaching and learning environment.

•assisting in the physical and intellectual development of students.

•supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral development of students.

•establishing positive and productive relationships.

•communicating consistently with teachers, staff, and students.

•demonstrating ethical and professional standards of conduct.

•collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to
ensure best practice and that supports are in place for students.

•participating in professional learning opportunities, as appropriate.

•adhering to the Individual Education Plan and maintaining confidentiality
regarding student educational programming.

Individuals must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to learn and
grow.  Para educator certification is desired or the willingness to obtain
certification.

The North Polk Community School District is a progressive educational
community located in the Des Moines metro area just north of Ankeny serving
the communities of Alleman, Elkhart, Polk City, and Sheldahl.  The District
