September Kiwanis NPHS Seniors of the month!

Hi everyone! My name is Amy and I’m currently attending North Polk High School. Next year I am planning to major in Instrumental Music Education and minor in Spanish! I live in Alleman with my parents Jack and Jennifer and my sister Megan. I am involved in color guard; concert, pit, and jazz bands, and winter guard. My favorite school subjects are music theory, history, and band. I am a member of the National Honor Society and National Art Honor Society and am on the Honor Roll. Outside of school I participate in my church’s youth group, Ballard Community Band, and work at a daycare. After graduation I am planning to attend the University if Northern Iowa to major in music education.

Sam Carstensen is the son of Ryan and Michelle Carstensen. He has a brother Jake in 5th grade and a sister Maggie in 11th grade. Sam is involved in cross country, basketball, soccer, and is the student council Vice President. Sam is still undecided were he will go after his senior year.

My name is Samantha Golbuff, and I am a current Senior at North Polk High School! I have lived in Polk City since I was born and have gone to North Polk Schools throughout my life. I am the daughter of Dan and Mai Golbuff. I have one older brother, Jacob, who is a graduate of North Polk and is currently a sophomore at ISU. My interests include the arts, music, and youth group. I plan to major in Graphic Design at a college to be determined to further my interests of photography and the arts. In school, my extracurriculars include being a part of the marching band, concert band, pep band, and jazz band; as well as being a member of the National Art Honor Society. I have also been a part of the United Methodist Xhilaration Youth Group for 7 years, and enjoy sharing my artistic talents with my church and with others.
